What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vendor Relations Clerk position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Manage incoming customer requests and coordinate with vendors to facilitate repairs and equipment needs.
• Record and track all service issues in designated systems, ensuring timely follow-ups with both vendors and clients.
• Provide regular updates to customers and ensure systems are kept accurate and current.
• Address daily vendor-related issues and collaborate with internal teams to resolve them promptly.
• Review vendor quotes and submissions to determine necessary actions, including ordering parts and managing waste services.
• Verify the accuracy of work orders in systems to ensure efficient processing and proper billing.
• Maintain service orders within assigned territories, meeting performance metrics and assisting other areas as needed.
• Analyze existing processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions focused on continuous enhancement.
• Interact with external parties, including vendors and intercompany teams, to resolve operational challenges.
• Support the onboarding of new vendors, ensuring smooth integration into existing workflows.
• High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively.
• Proficient in office functions, including data entry and reporting.
• Familiarity with operational procedures and process improvement strategies.
• Ability to review and analyze information for accuracy and efficiency.
• Experience with metrics tracking and reporting is preferred.
• Basic keyboarding skills and comfort with using computer systems.
• Capable of handling objects weighing up to 30 pounds occasionally.
