Tax Preparer

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our client's team in Henderson, Nevada. This role requires expertise in preparing individual tax returns, managing correspondence with tax authorities, and conducting detailed tax research. The ideal candidate will bring a thorough understanding of tax regulations and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review individual tax returns with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Communicate directly with clients to gather necessary information and address tax-related inquiries.

• Manage correspondence and notices from tax authorities, including audits and requests for additional documentation.

• Conduct detailed research on tax laws to support client positions and ensure compliance.

• Stay current with federal and state tax regulations to provide informed guidance.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

• Utilize advanced tax software to streamline the preparation and filing process.

• Provide reliable advice to clients regarding tax planning and strategies.

• At least 3 years of experience in individual tax preparation.

• Strong ability to handle correspondence and resolve issues with tax authorities.

• Proficiency in conducting tax research and interpreting complex regulations.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience with tax software such as ProSystem FX Tax, UltraTax, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.

• Enrolled Agent (EA) certification or equivalent designation preferred.

• Previous experience in a tax firm setting is highly desirable.
