Staff Accountant

We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Rowlett, Texas. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a growing company in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will thrive in a small accounting department and demonstrate expertise in managing financial operations with precision and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Conduct payroll processing and manage bank reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Perform credit card reconciliations, including handling high transaction volumes.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and maintain the general ledger.
• Accurately code transactions and create journal entries in compliance with accounting standards.
• Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop software to manage accounting tasks, including payroll.
• Handle corporate tax returns and sales tax filings with attention to detail.
• Assist with data entry tasks and transactional work as needed.
• Collaborate with the President to ensure smooth financial operations and reporting.
• Support future system implementations or upgrades as required.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of accounting experience, preferably in small, rapidly growing companies.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise Desktop, including payroll management.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and related filings.
• Expertise in managing general ledger and creating journal entries.
• Exceptional attention to detail, especially in coding transactions accurately.
• Ability to multitask and handle both high-level financial tasks and transactional work.
• Familiarity with managing multiple bank accounts and credit cards.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week in Rowlett, Texas.
