Robert Half is looking for a Staff Accountant for a permanent opportunity. As Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. Throughout the monthly close, you will also be responsible for various aspects of internal reporting. You will lend your skills to developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This role is very integrated as it plays a part in the production of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. What you get to do every single day
- Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
- In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
- Organize and review various financial data, then report it in a manner that is useful and understandable
- Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting
- Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
- Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision
- Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
- Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries
- Assemble journal entries and thorough account reconciliations that include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
- Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
- Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting
- Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
- Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
- Current and relevant ERP system experience
- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
- Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
- Recent and relevant accounting experience
- Month end closings experience
- Experience with Fixed Asset Accounting
- Knowledge of manufacturing
- Asset Inventory experience
- Deep understanding of standard costs
- Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
- Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
