Sr. Procurement Associate

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Associate to join a leading private equity firm in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will manage several indirect spend categories, oversee supplier processes, and collaborate on procurement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting. This position offers an opportunity to lead category strategies, negotiate contracts, and contribute to global procurement efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as the global category lead for various indirect spend categories, including sourcing, contracting, and supplier management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers to streamline the purchase order process and improve payment systems.
• Conduct supplier due diligence in partnership with research and risk teams, ensuring compliance and supporting diversity initiatives.
• Lead strategic sourcing initiatives such as Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and manage contract negotiations.
• Partner with internal teams to address escalations, document outcomes, and align procurement strategies with legal and compliance standards.
• Support general procurement projects, including process improvement and enhanced reporting capabilities.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop procurement strategies and manage supplier relationships.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of procurement policies and tools by collaborating with leadership.
• Provide ad-hoc support for procurement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in sourcing roles.

• Familiarity with indirect spend categories such as facilities and finance is a plus.

• Strong understanding of purchase order processing and supplier diligence procedures.

• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes, general ledger tasks, and account reconciliations.

• Experience conducting journal entries and bank reconciliations.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a global environment.
