Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This role requires someone with a strong background in accounting processes, including month-end close, reconciliations, and journal entries. Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data integrity.

• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to analyze and report financial information effectively.

• Apply GASB principles to accounting processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with team members to support financial operations and reporting.

• Identify discrepancies in financial records and implement corrective measures.

• Assist in maintaining a well-organized general ledger system.

• Provide insights and recommendations to improve accounting workflows and processes.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably as a Senior Accountant.
• Proficiency in managing month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Strong knowledge of account and bank reconciliation practices.
• Familiarity with GASB principles and their application in accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
