Sr. Accountant

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our team in Mooresville, North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative work environment while supporting key financial operations. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency within the accounting function.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee general accounting activities, including monthly close processes, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with the Controller to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting, utilizing systems such as Cognos.
• Ensure timely and accurate filing of sales and use tax reports in collaboration with the Controller.
• Assist in the preparation and management of quarterly forecasts and budgets.
• Support accounts payable processes by serving as a backup for invoice approvals, vendor account reconciliations, and payment processing.
• Manage customer billing and payments, including issuing statements, processing credit card transactions, and addressing payment delays.
• Reconcile corporate credit card expenses and statements in coordination with the Controller.
• Participate in user acceptance testing for financial system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance.
• Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned by the Controller or General Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, including general ledger functions, account reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Familiarity with Dynamics 365 and Cognos is preferred but not required.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Positive attitude with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and teamwork.
