Software Developer

We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Southern California. This position requires a strong background in automotive industry processes, particularly in ordering logistics and sales applications. The role involves supporting and enhancing auto sales applications, making it essential for candidates to have deep technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing support and enhancements for auto sales applications, ensuring seamless functionality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement solutions for complex business requirements.

• Utilize expertise in stored procedures, DB2, MQ, and enterprise-grade environments to develop and maintain software systems.

• Analyze and troubleshoot application issues, delivering timely resolutions.

• Create and maintain technical documentation for application processes and enhancements.

• Leverage XML, JSON, and EDI technologies to support integration and data exchange.

• Participate in ad hoc travel as project demands arise.

• Work onsite four days a week to ensure effective collaboration with team members.

• Utilize the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio, to create project deliverables and reports.

• Contribute to the development of large, complex application projects to meet organizational goals.

• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience with enterprise-grade software development.
• Expertise in stored procedure interfaces, DB2, MQ, and related technologies.
• Proven experience in automotive industry logistics and sales business processes.
• Proficiency in XML, JSON, EDI technologies, and application development.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey technical information.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to work onsite four days a week and participate in occasional travel as needed.
• Experience managing and troubleshooting large-scale applications in complex environments.
