Scanning Operator

We are looking for a dedicated Copy Clerk to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. In this long-term contract position, you will play a vital role in a large-scale project focused on scanning and processing books efficiently. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who excel in detail-oriented tasks and enjoy working in a structured environment.

Responsibilities:
• Operate scanning equipment to digitize books as part of a large-scale processing project.
• Ensure the accuracy and quality of scanned documents by performing regular checks.
• Handle books with care during the scanning process, including breaking spines when necessary.
• Dispose of materials properly after scanning in compliance with project guidelines.
• Maintain consistent productivity to meet monthly scanning targets.
• Stand for extended periods while managing scanning workflows.
• Organize scanned files systematically for easy retrieval and record-keeping.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize scanning procedures and resolve any operational issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and equipment handling standards.
• Report progress and issues to supervisors regularly.
• Previous experience in document scanning, mailroom operations, or similar office tasks.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all scanned materials.
• Ability to work efficiently while standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with operating scanning equipment and handling physical documents.
• Basic organizational skills for managing scanned files and workflow.
• Capable of meeting productivity goals in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
