Sales Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Sales Clerk to join our team in Port Orange, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing customer transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless operations in a retail environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys providing outstanding service.

Responsibilities:

• Process customer transactions efficiently using a cash register and ensure accurate cash handling.

• Assist customers with purchases by offering friendly and attentive support.

• Maintain inventory by stocking shelves and conducting regular counts.

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable collections, ensuring timely payments.

• Apply payments accurately to customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.

• Perform cash collections and reconciliation tasks to maintain financial accuracy.

• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Organize and maintain records related to sales and inventory activities.

• Provide updates and reports on accounts receivable status to management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all financial activities.

• Previous experience in accounts receivable, cashiering, or a similar role is required.
• Strong knowledge of cash applications and commercial collections.
• Proven ability to handle cash collections and reconciliation tasks effectively.
• Experience in direct sales and customer service environments.
• Proficiency in operating cash registers and other point-of-sale systems.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory and records.
• Strong communication skills to assist customers and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
