Risk Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Risk Analyst to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to a significant initiative aimed at mitigating enterprise-wide risks through the development and execution of effective remediation strategies. The role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure risk issues are addressed and resolved efficiently.

Responsibilities:
• Analyze and manage risk-related issues through their full lifecycle, including drafting, monitoring progress, and preparing closure packages.
• Collaborate with Risk Advisors and Issue Owners to create and execute remediation plans that meet organizational standards.
• Prepare detailed closure documentation for risk issues and present them to relevant teams to ensure proper resolution.
• Monitor and report progress on high-priority risk items to Issue Execution Officers, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Conduct gap analyses and identify opportunities for improvement within existing risk management processes.
• Facilitate cross-functional projects to enhance enterprise risk management practices.
• Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel to track and report on risk remediation activities.
• Provide expertise in internal controls and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to streamline risk management processes.
• Partner with stakeholders in banking or financial institutions to address risk-related challenges effectively.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk remediation and enterprise risk management.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to manage complex risk issues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other tools for tracking and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate across multiple teams.
• Demonstrated experience in managing internal controls processes.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies to support project execution.
• Background in banking or financial institutions is highly preferred.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
