Right of Way Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Right-of-Way Specialist to oversee property acquisition processes and ensure compliance with land use requirements. If you have a strong understanding of property descriptions, survey data, and legal documentation, this is your chance to make an impact in a challenging and rewarding role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough abstract and title reviews for properties acquired in fee-simple or easements to identify potential conflicts with proposed land use.
• Analyze property descriptions and right-of-way requirements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Gather and compile essential data for right-of-way acquisitions and easements.
• Develop base maps for transmission right-of-way projects using AutoCAD and other relevant tools.
• Draft precise and legally sound property descriptions for land and right-of-way purchases.
• Review survey base maps provided by consultants to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, surveying, real estate, or a related field preferred.
• 2 years of experience in right-of-way, property acquisition, or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of property laws, easements, and deed preparation.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing title abstracts and survey data.
• Ability to perform courthouse research online and interpret legal descriptions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with vendors and internal teams.
