Residential Underwriter

We are seeking a detail-oriented Residential Underwriter to assess consumer loan applications and ensure sound credit decisions. This onsite role requires strong analytical skills and expertise in residential lending, including Jumbo and FHA loans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate loan applications and assess creditworthiness
• Analyze financial data and collateral for risk compliance
• Make informed lending recommendations
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal policies
• Collaborate with lending teams to maintain underwriting consistency
• Document decisions clearly and support process improvements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in consumer loan underwriting, with flexibility for candidates with slightly less experience.
• Proficiency in assessing residential loans, including Jumbo loans and FHA underwriting.
• Strong knowledge of installment loan underwriting and risk analysis.
• Ability to evaluate creditworthiness and financial information with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and lending standards for residential underwriting.
• Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and document decisions.
• Ability to work onsite in South Boston, Massachusetts.
