Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to lead large-scale IT transformation initiatives and deliver impactful business outcomes. This Contract-to-Permanent position is based in Rochester, New York, and requires a strong ability to manage complex projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive organizational change. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in Agile methodologies and have a proven track record of delivering projects successfully within scope, budget, and timeline.

Must be willing to be onsite 4 times per week in Rochester. This role will drive infrastructure, application development, and other ad hoc projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT transformation programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

• Develop strategic plans for business initiatives driven by IT, aligning them with organizational goals and objectives.

• Foster strong customer relationships and ensure solutions are focused on meeting client needs.

• Utilize Agile methodologies to manage projects effectively, promoting flexibility and collaboration.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to maintain project timelines and objectives.

• Promote the adoption of new technologies and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user acceptance.

• Manage vendor relationships, overseeing procurement and monitoring performance to ensure high-quality deliverables.

• Allocate resources efficiently, balancing internal staff and external consultants to achieve project goals.

• Establish and track KPIs to measure project success, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with expertise in leading transformation initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with practical experience in Scrum frameworks.

• Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project or Workfront.

• Familiarity with Atlassian Jira for tracking and managing project workflows.

• Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering clear, audience-appropriate messages across all organizational levels.

• Ability to identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency.

• Proficient in using modern office productivity tools, particularly Microsoft tools.
