Presuit Paralegal

Robert Half is partnering with an exceptional law firm in Altamonte Springs, Florida seeking a Medical Malpractice Presuit Paralegal. This is a remote role after 30 days, but local candidates only will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and discovery requests/responses
• Communicate directly with clients
• Review medical records and prepare detailed medical chronologies
• Prepare non-party record subpoenas in compliance with state and federal regulations
• E-file documents in both state and federal courts
• Locate and coordinate with expert witnesses
• Assist in preparing cases for witness interviews, depositions, mediations, and trial
• Accurately report billable time in accordance with client guidelines (timekeeper role)

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to work independently and hit the ground running
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced litigation team environment
• In-depth knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, especially Medical Malpractice statutes and processes
• Proficiency in MS Office, Word, and Adobe Acrobat (or similar PDF software)
• Prior experience in medical malpractice litigation highly preferred
