Part-Time Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Part-Time Accountant to join a small nonprofit organization. This long-term contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a mission-driven organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Sage Intacct and a strong background in accounting practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.

• Maintain and track fixed assets, including preparing related journal entries.

• Monitor prepaid expenses and record associated journal entries.

• Handle lease tracking and post relevant journal entries.

• Reconcile accounts receivable and revenue between organizational systems and the General Ledger.

• Calculate 403B contributions and prepare corresponding journal entries.

• Manage restricted net assets and restricted cash tie-outs, including journal entries.

• Prepare workpapers and journal entries for organizational events, such as the Global Gathering.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.

• Create and present financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

• Proficiency in Sage Intacct and extensive experience with journal entries.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to perform bank and credit card reconciliations with precision.
• Experience managing fixed assets and tracking prepaid expenses.
• Familiarity with accounts receivable processes and revenue reconciliation.
• Capability to calculate and record 403B contributions accurately.
• Expertise in restricted asset management and related cash tie-outs.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage workpapers and event-related accounting tasks.
