Summary:
This position oversees the network administration and all the infrastructure applications and hardware that fall into this area to contribute to meeting the company’s mission of developing and marketing high-quality brands and running best-in-class bottling operations. The applications and hardware that the Network Administrator is responsible for include network administration, server administration, Storage Area Networks (SAN), telephony/VOIP, PC setup and support, email, scanners, printers/copiers, backups, virtual servers, firewalls, WSUS (Windows Server Update Services) and other miscellaneous hosted
applications as needed.
Essential Functions:
• Manages the network environment, which consists of Extreme Network switches, firewalls, configuring IP addresses, etc.
• Manages the server environment, which consists of domain controllers, virtual servers and hosts, email, etc.
• Develops and monitors appropriate security procedures to safeguard the system from physical harm and viruses, unauthorized users, and damage to data.
• Works with IT Infrastructure Security Manager on strategic direction for infrastructure (server, network, SAN, etc.), evaluates potential options and makes recommendations.
• Manages projects related to IT infrastructure changes, including working with various vendors as needed to assist with implementation of certain projects.
• Sources, implements, and supports office equipment, including, but not limited to, copiers, fax machines, printers and the VOIP telephone system.
• Ensures backups and recovery of system through disaster recovery plan and testing the system periodically.
• Completes setup for new users and provides PC Support for new and existing users.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.
