What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Coordinator position at Robert Half?
Robert Half is partnering with an industry-leading equipment manufacturer to hire a Material Coordinator for a critical 2nd shift role in their distribution center. This position plays a key part in keeping warehouse operations running smoothly by coordinating picking activities, troubleshooting inventory issues, and supporting a high-volume department during an upcoming system implementation.
Please Note:
- Schedule: 2nd shift - 2pm-10:30pm
- Visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future for this role
- Steel-toe/metatarsal footwear required on day one
- This role is primarily standing/walking throughout the shift

What You’ll Do
- Support the implementation of a new SAP/EWM warehouse management system
- Direct and support picking teams to ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment
- Monitor picking progress using warehouse systems and update order statuses
- Quickly resolve issues such as missing items, damaged product, or system errors
- Track productivity metrics, report results, and suggest process improvements
What We’re Looking For
- Experience with inventory systems, warehouse tools, or AS400-type programs strongly preferred
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to inventory discrepancies
- Exceptional data entry speed and accuracy
- High attention to detail, strong sense of urgency, and excellent attendance
- Strong interpersonal skills — you’ll support a team of ~50 employees on 2nd shift
