What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager/Senior Manager Revenue position at Robert Half?
We are looking for an experienced Revenue Manager/Sr Manager to join our team in San Mateo, California. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization by leveraging your technical expertise in revenue accounting and analytical skills. The role is hybrid, requiring three days per week in the office .
Responsibilities:
• Oversee revenue recognition processes, ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and other applicable accounting standards.
• Manage reserve accounting, standalone selling price allocations, and variable consideration calculations.
• Collaborate with teams across general ledger, accounts receivable, billing, and product divisions to streamline revenue operations.
• Prepare detailed written memos and disclosures related to revenue accounting policies.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and create reports that support decision-making.
• Lead automation initiatives to improve efficiency within revenue accounting workflows.
• Supervise and provide guidance to team members, ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies.
• Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for core review and capacity-building within the revenue team.
• Contribute to the identification and implementation of system improvements, including tools like NetSuite and Power BI.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of revenue-related information to stakeholders.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in revenue accounting or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles, including ASC 606.
• Proven expertise in advanced Excel functions, including formulas and data analysis.
• Ability to draft comprehensive written memos and disclosures.
• Experience with automation tools and processes to optimize workflows.
• Familiarity with systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, and Power BI.
• Highly analytical mindset with a results-driven approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
