Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for a skilled Logistics Coordinator to join our team in Rochester, New York. In this role, you will oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring smooth coordination of shipments, scheduling, and distribution activities. This is a long-term contract position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate shipment schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Collaborate with distribution teams to optimize logistics processes and improve efficiency.
• Handle customs documentation and compliance to ensure international shipping meets regulations.
• Monitor shipping activities and address any delays or issues promptly.
• Work closely with vendors and carriers to maintain effective communication and resolve logistical challenges.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, and inventory levels.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all logistics operations.
• Provide regular updates and reports on logistics performance to management.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within logistics.
• Assist in planning and implementing logistics strategies to support business goals.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of shipping functions, customs regulations, and distribution processes.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tools is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
