Investment Accountant

My client is an investment firm looking for an Investment Accountant to fill the role in their Washington, DC office. The ideal Investment Accountant for this role will be responsible for assisting the accounting team with the day-to-day operations. The responsibilities of the Investment Accountant will include overseeing the funds’ investments, assisting with the monthly and quarterly reports, reporting on the firm’s real estate private equity funds, preparing quarterly financial statements, partners’ capital account analysis, supporting annual audits and assisting with the quarterly close process. Daily responsibilities of the Investment Accountant include:

·      Prepare quarterly financial statements.

·      Assist with quarterly close process.

·      Report real estate private equity funds.

·      Analyze partner capital accounts.

·      Support annual audit.

·      Assist with other ad hoc duties.

The ideal Investment Accountant we seek must have the following qualifications for consideration:

·      2-3 years of accounting experience.

·      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

·      CPA or pursuing CPA licensure, a plus.

·      Experience with Private Equity or Real Estate, a plus.

·      Strong communication skills.
