Intermediate Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Concord, California. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a vital role in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and manage journal entries, accruals, transfers, and reclassifications to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform comprehensive balance sheet reconciliations and maintain backup documentation.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to support operational needs.
• Review, code, and submit accounts payable items weekly while ensuring sufficient cash availability.
• Post receivables, reconcile accounts receivable balances, and manage daily accounting tasks.
• Generate cash flow reports and analyze profit and loss statements to support financial decision-making.
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of accounting transactions.
• Provide support for audits and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Proven experience with journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.
• Proficiency in performing bank reconciliations and managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
• Strong understanding of cash flow reporting and profit and loss analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of accuracy.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools to streamline workflows.
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
