Insurance Claims Specialist

Are client is looking for an experienced Insurance Claims Specialist for a 4–5-month long contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the Risk Management team during a high-volume claims period. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in claims management and risk compliance, with the ability to effectively coordinate between internal departments and external claims adjusters.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the submission and tracking of incident and accident reports, including auto, property, workers’ compensation, and liability claims.

• Conduct detailed follow-ups to gather additional facts and information beyond initial reports.

• Act as the primary point of contact between internal teams and external claims adjusters to ensure smooth communication.

• Participate in litigation calls and provide relevant documentation as required.

• Maintain accurate and organized records in claims management systems, with a preference for familiarity with Origami Risk.

• Monitor claims activity and provide regular updates to ensure alignment with company policies and procedures.

• Assist with compliance and reporting requirements related to pollution claims and other risk management processes.

• Coordinate deductible reimbursement processes with insurance providers.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and property management teams to resolve claim-related issues and improve safety measures.

• Distribute claim-related documentation to appropriate parties and ensure timely communication.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in claims management, risk management, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of workers’ compensation, general liability, property claims, and pollution claims.
• Proficiency in using claims management systems, with Origami Risk experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively liaise between internal and external parties.
• Ability to maintain organized and accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and accident investigation procedures.
• Solid understanding of liability insurance and deductible reimbursement processes.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
