Job Title: Governance Analyst (Fully Remote)

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000

Location: Fully Remote (Candidates must reside in one of the following states: California, Washington, Texas, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, Delaware, or Washington, D.C.)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and strategic Governance Analyst with a strong background in Information Governance (IG) to join our fully remote team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in IG within a law firm. This role requires exceptional communication and workflow improvement skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with attorneys. Additionally, we are looking for someone eager to expand their technical knowledge and contribute to the improvement of our IG department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Information Governance Expertise: Apply your law firm IG experience to assess and enhance workflows, procedures, and systems relating to the management of legal documents, data, and compliance.
• Collaboration with Attorneys: Serve as a trusted advisor by building relationships with attorneys, providing strategic recommendations, and implementing effective IG solutions tailored to their needs.
• Process Improvement: Review existing procedures and identify opportunities for improvement to maximize efficiency and ensure compliance.
• Learning & Technical Growth: Gain proficiency in technical tools (such as Microsoft Purview and PowerShell) with training provided by the company to support the department’s technical IG needs.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3 years of experience in Information Governance in a law firm setting.
• Communication Skills: Excellent ability to communicate with attorneys and stakeholders strategically and collaboratively. Must demonstrate the ability to build trust, advise, and recommend IG solutions effectively.
• Workflow & Procedural Knowledge: A deep understanding of IG-related workflows, procedures, and departmental improvement methodologies.
• Willingness to Learn: Passion for expanding technical knowledge on tools such as Microsoft Purview and PowerShell (training provided).

Bonus Skills:

• Privacy Knowledge: Experience with privacy regulations such as GDPR, including a detailed understanding of cross-border data transfer requirements.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Purview tools used for IG purposes.
