Human Resources (HR) Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated, bilingual (Spanish) Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in West Chester, Ohio. This is a Contract to permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic HR environment while enhancing your organizational skills. The ideal candidate will play an integral role in supporting HR operations, employee relations, and administrative functions.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update the organization's employee database and manage electronic personnel files.

• Handle employment verification requests and provide support for employee inquiries.

• Facilitate the onboarding process, including managing job postings, processing applications, conducting background checks, and verifying work eligibility.

• Process employee updates such as transfers, changes in employment status, and pay modifications.

• Provide assistance in managing workers’ compensation claims and safety program administration.

• Collaborate on unemployment claim responses and related administrative tasks.

• Welcome and assist visitors to the HR department, ensuring a courteous and helpful experience.

• Proven experience in human resources administration, including handling employee records and HR systems.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms for managing personnel data.
• Competence in managing onboarding processes and employee background checks.
• Strong ability to foster positive employee relations and address inquiries effectively.
• Knowledge of workers’ compensation and unemployment administration.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a meticulous demeanor when interacting with employees and visitors.
