We are seeking an experienced HR professional specializing in recruitment to join our team in Kearny New Jersey. This role is critical in attracting and hiring top talent across all levels of our organization, from shop floor to executive leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing environments and thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced, medium-sized business setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates for roles including:
- Shop floor and production staff
- Warehouse and logistics personnel
- Middle management and production office roles
- Executive-level positions
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored talent solutions.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical manufacturing roles.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations throughout the hiring process.
- Contribute to HR initiatives that support employee engagement and retention.
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of HR/recruitment experience, with a strong emphasis on manufacturing environments.
- 70–75% of prior experience should be within companies that operate factories in industries similar to food manufacturing (e.g., automotive, candles, toys, consumer goods).
- Proven success hiring across multiple organizational levels within the same company.
- Experience working in a medium-sized business, demonstrating the ability to “roll up your sleeves” and manage hands-on recruitment challenges.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and modern sourcing techniques.
