Grant Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Grant Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This position, based in Rialto, California, offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage grant-related financial activities within the government sector. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in grant management and financial administration to ensure compliance and accuracy in all transactions.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the administration and financial reporting of government grants, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Perform detailed reconciliations and prepare audit documentation to support accurate financial reviews.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and efficient transactions.
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper allocation of funds and adherence to grant guidelines.
• Utilize Abila MIP software to streamline accounting processes and enhance reporting accuracy.
• Monitor and report on fund administration activities, including net asset value (NAV) calculations.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to optimize grant utilization and fund management.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with a focus on grant management and fund administration.
• Proficiency in handling government grants and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Abila MIP software for financial management and reporting.
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Solid understanding of general ledger processes and financial statement preparation.
• Ability to conduct audit preparation and reconciliation activities with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and present financial findings clearly.
