Financial Project Manager

Robert Half Management Resources is recruiting for strong Compensation Manager consultant to support a longstanding client on a 4–6-month hybrid (Southern California preferred) or remote project beginning immediately. The Compensation Manager should possess strong Workday Advanced Compensation & HCM functional experience and be capable of solution design and consultative partnership (not direct configuration).

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert guidance on Workday Advanced Compensation & HCM Processes, and organizational processes, focusing on solution design and process improvements.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyze and refine compensation cycles and associated workflows.

• Develop and execute detailed test scripts to support testing and ensure process accuracy.

• Offer responsive support during open annual compensation cycles by addressing user inquiries and resolving technical or process-related issues.

• Act as a technical and process resource for compensation teams, managing and resolving escalated issues effectively.

• Quickly adapt to and master BetterComp systems, acting as a liaison for market data and issue resolution in partnership with external stakeholders.

• Communicate updates and resolutions regarding compensation processes to key stakeholders.

• Provide hypercare support to ensure smooth operations and address any challenges during critical cycles.

• Extensive functional/technical experience with Workday Advanced Compensation & HCM systems and related processes.

• Strong background in compensation administration, analysis, and benchmarking.

• Proven ability to design and implement solutions for complex organizational needs.

• Familiarity with testing processes, including creating and executing test scripts.

• Excellent problem-solving skills to address technical and process-related challenges.

• Ability to quickly learn and apply technical knowledge to new systems, such as BetterComp.

• Effective communication skills to relay information clearly to stakeholders and team members.

• Prior experience in supporting annual compensation cycles and managing escalated issues.
