Job Description: Interim FP& A Manager / Financial Business Analyst (Remote)
We are seeking a highly skilled FP& A Manager / Financial Business Analyst to join our team on an interim basis as we search for a permanent solution. This role will be instrumental in providing detailed financial analysis, supporting budget processes, optimizing business models, and assisting with month-end close processes and a budget process culminating in 10/31/2025 final presentation. This is a remote opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A): Develop, enhance, and maintain financial models to support decision-making and trend analysis, including identifying key drivers and performance metrics.
- Variance Analysis: Deep dive into financial data to perform variance analysis and identify actionable insights to improve financial processes.
- Management Discussion & Analysis (MD& A): Prepare detailed MD& A reports, summarizing financial trends, challenges, and opportunities for leadership.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting process, actively collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop realistic projections aligned with company goals.
- Month-End Close: Partner with the accounting team to support month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while resolving any discrepancies.
- Dashboards and Reporting: Build and maintain visually compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI, Excel, and other tools to communicate financial results effectively.
- Transaction Support: Oversee and support day-to-day accounting functions, including processing payments as necessary.
- Tools and Technology: Utilize systems such as NetSuite, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and modeling tools to streamline processes and accelerate financial workflows.
- Accounting processes: Continue monthly processes to a sound Accounting environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in FP& A, financial business analysis, and accounting processes.
- Expertise in trend analysis, variance analysis, and deriving actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Proficient in financial systems such as NetSuite, with strong experience building models in Excel and creating dashboards in Power BI.
- Comfort working in the details (“in the weeds”) while maintaining a strategic perspective to influence business decisions.
- Experience supporting or managing month-end close activities is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
