Director of Facilities

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Facilities for a long-term on-site contract role in Flemington, NJ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all facets of facilities operations, ensuring quality services, fiscal responsibility, and team leadership. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned facilities expert to play a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fiscal Oversight:

• Develop, implement, and monitor all departmental budgets to ensure compliance with financial goals.
• Ensure prompt vendor payments and maintain sound financial practices.

1. Human Resource Management:

• Oversee hiring, scheduling, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for the facilities team.
• Create a positive and efficient work environment for the department.

1. Committee Participation:

• Actively participate in assigned hospital committees to further departmental and organizational goals.

1. Staff Monitoring and Development:

• Monitor staff performance and coach team members to ensure delivery of excellent service and high-quality work.
• Provide opportunities for continuous improvement and hardwired implementation of service enhancements.

1. Supervisory Leadership:

• Supervise multiple roles, including but not limited to Engineering, Maintenance, Grounds, Power Plant, and clerical staff.
  

• Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within healthcare or similar environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, monitor performance, and deliver high-quality services.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coach and manage a diverse team.
• Ability to work collaboratively with committees and stakeholders.
• Experience with overseeing a variety of roles, including technical and clerical staff.
