Data Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will contribute to the development and optimization of data pipelines, ensuring the seamless integration of platforms and tools. Based in Jericho, New York, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced technologies in the non-profit sector.

Responsibilities:
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines to support organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain data integration processes using tools such as Apache Spark and Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage Tableau for data visualization and reporting.
• Work extensively with Salesforce and NetSuite to optimize data flow and system functionality.
• Utilize ETL processes to transform and prepare data for analysis and decision-making.
• Apply expertise in Apache Hadoop and Apache Kafka to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues within cloud-based and on-premise data systems.
• Ensure the security and integrity of all data management practices.
• Provide technical support and recommendations for system improvements.
• Proficiency in Apache Spark and Python for data engineering tasks.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Hadoop and Apache Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of Tableau for creating insightful visualizations.
• Familiarity with Salesforce and NetSuite platforms.
• Expertise in ETL processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Ability to work with cloud tools, although this is not mandatory.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot data systems.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams.
