What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Center Support Manager position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Oversee equipment installations, removals, and cabling tasks while ensuring adherence to established agreements and standards.
• Implement and enforce guidelines that optimize the balance between people, processes, and technology within the data center.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Provide leadership for project execution, including resource allocation and communication with stakeholders.
• Develop and execute quality assurance plans and method statements to maintain high standards of operations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of installations and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure billing information aligns with customer expectations.
• Review and allocate resources for after-hours support while preparing detailed management and impact analysis reports.
• Collaborate with senior management to communicate changes, improvements, and strategic vision for data center operations.
• Facilitate training sessions and support the recruitment of data center technicians as needed.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing data center operations or infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of data center environments, technologies, and processes.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects effectively.
• Experience with monitoring and optimizing service performance within a data center setting.
• Proficiency in analyzing and reporting operational data to drive informed decision-making.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with regional and global managers.
• Familiarity with service level agreements (SLAs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ability to assess and prioritize change requests, incidents, and integration issues.
