Credit & Collections Manager

We are looking for a skilled Credit & Collections Manager to join our team on a contract basis in San Diego, California. This role requires an experienced individual who excels in managing credit and collections processes while leading teams during critical financial transitions. Responsibilities:
• Oversee the transition of equipment loan portfolios to a new financing entity, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with lending guidelines.
• Collaborate with financial institutions to establish and implement new credit lines and operational processes.
• Lead and manage the credit and collections team, providing guidance on investigations, cash applications, and policy adherence.
• Analyze collection reports to evaluate outstanding balances and refine strategies for improved performance.
• Approve customer credit limits and monitor exceptions to maintain alignment with company policies.
• Review and authorize account adjustments, while managing aged accounts and doubtful account allowances.
• Drive process improvements and technological enhancements within credit and accounts receivable systems.
• Foster collaboration between credit, collections, and sales teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, including collection agencies and credit reporting services.
• Measure departmental performance using key metrics and recommend strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in credit and collections management.
• Proven expertise in transitioning loan portfolios and managing financial documentation.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in hiring, training, and motivating teams.
• Solid understanding of credit policies, procedures, and accounts receivable systems.
• Ability to analyze data and implement solutions in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills for managing relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Familiarity with equipment loans and financial entity structures.
• Strategic planning experience, including process optimization and technology improvements.
