Cost Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team in the West Metro. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting financial reporting, cost analysis, and compliance with business policies. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to key accounting functions within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial reports to support cost accounting operations and managerial decision-making.

• Create and maintain journal entries to ensure accurate transaction recording and compliance with accounting standards.

• Perform account reconciliations to verify data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with corporate governance and financial policies.

• Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts by analyzing cost data and trends.

• Utilize ERP and accounting software systems to streamline reporting and data management processes.

• Assist in auditing activities by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries.

• Monitor cash activities and accounts payable processes to ensure proper financial controls.

• Contribute to the development of cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.

• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost accounting; 6 years of general accounting experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and ERP tools.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively and ensure compliance with business policies.
• Proficiency in budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting processes.
