Controller - Real Estate

As our Controller, you’ll be the financial backbone of the company, reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with executive leadership and investors. Your mission: build a world-class accounting function that supports our growth and drives strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead & Mentor: Oversee and inspire a high-performing accounting team, fostering growth and accountability.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports with precision and insight.
• Daily Operations: Manage all core accounting functions including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting to support short- and long-term business goals.
• Audit Readiness: Prepare for and manage external audits with confidence and clarity.
• Banking & Investor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions and communicate effectively with investors.
• Controls & Compliance: Design and implement robust internal controls and financial policies to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred).
• Industry Experience: 10 years in accounting/finance with a strong background in real estate.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with executives and investors.
• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of GAAP, financial systems, and real estate accounting practices.
