What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller (Plant) position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Lead cost accounting and inventory management activities to maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting to ensure proper valuation and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze profit and loss (P& L) statements to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate financial planning and reporting processes to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and internal policies.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes to maintain timely vendor payments.
• Conduct audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial integrity.
• Utilize SAP software to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and financial objectives.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory processes, and fixed asset management.
• Proficient in preparing and analyzing P& L statements and annual budgets.
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Skilled in managing accounts payable and auditing processes.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial operations.
• Familiarity with manufacturing industry practices and financial challenges.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
