Controller (Plant)

We are looking for an experienced Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at our manufacturing facility in Logansport, Indiana. This role involves managing cost accounting, inventory processes, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in financial planning, fixed assets management, and compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
• Lead cost accounting and inventory management activities to maintain accurate financial records.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting to ensure proper valuation and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze profit and loss (P& L) statements to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate financial planning and reporting processes to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards and internal policies.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes to maintain timely vendor payments.
• Conduct audits to identify and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial integrity.
• Utilize SAP software to streamline accounting operations and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support manufacturing operations and financial objectives.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory processes, and fixed asset management.
• Proficient in preparing and analyzing P& L statements and annual budgets.
• Solid understanding of GAAP accounting standards and compliance requirements.
• Skilled in managing accounts payable and auditing processes.
• Experience using SAP or similar ERP systems for financial operations.
• Familiarity with manufacturing industry practices and financial challenges.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
