Contracts Attorney

We are looking for a skilled Contracts Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Warwick, Rhode Island. This position offers an exciting opportunity to handle complex legal matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts and agreements. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can provide expert legal advice and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and negotiate diverse contracts, including services agreements, construction contracts, and other commercial arrangements.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare clear, actionable memoranda tailored to non-legal audiences.
• Collaborate with the Senior Vice President of Legal and HR to coordinate with external legal counsel on litigation matters.
• Review and draft responses to legal pleadings and manage discovery requests in coordination with external counsel.
• Provide strategic legal guidance to support organizational goals and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Analyze complex legal issues and deliver recommendations that align with business objectives.
• Ensure all contracts and agreements meet regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to address legal concerns and mitigate potential risks.
• Maintain thorough documentation of legal activities and decisions for future reference.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to provide accurate and timely advice.
• Must be a licensed attorney with active credentials.
• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and commercial agreements.
• Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to individuals without a legal background.
• Experience collaborating with external legal counsel on litigation matters.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively with a strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and services agreements is a plus.
