Our company is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Paralegal for a contract position supporting a busy legal team. Ideal candidates will have 5 years of commercial real estate paralegal experience and be adept at handling complex transactions and documentation. This hybrid role requires four days per week in-office and offers flexibility to leverage your specialized expertise in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage commercial real estate documents including purchase agreements, leases, amendments, closing binders, and financing documents.
- Conduct title and survey reviews, coordinate due diligence, and manage closing checklists.
- Assist attorneys with commercial loan closings, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing transactions, and property management matters.
- Liaise with title companies, surveyors, lenders, and other third parties to ensure timely and accurate completion of transactions.
- Organize and maintain transaction files and related documentation.
- Support pre- and post-closing activities, including preparing settlement statements and managing escrow accounts.
- Monitor critical dates and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Research statutes, case law, and local regulations as needed.
- Help implement legal technology and automation tools to improve process efficiency.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal, preferably in law firms or corporate legal departments.
- Thorough understanding of commercial real estate transactions and associated legal documentation.
- Strong proficiency in title and survey review, closing coordination, and management of multiple matters simultaneously.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with real estate software platforms and legal research tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
