Cloud System Administrator

We are looking for an experienced Cloud System Administrator to join our team. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work within the automotive industry, managing and optimizing cloud-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud administration, system automation, and engineering software, playing a critical role in ensuring high performance and reliability of our systems.

• Job Responsibilities: 
• Configure and manage AWS EC2 instances for optimal performance and security. 
• Administer cloud user accounts, permissions, and access controls. 
• Develop and maintain infrastructure using AWS CloudFormation templates. 
• Perform Windows and Linux system administration, including patching, monitoring, and troubleshooting. 
• Install, configure, and maintain CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) applications in cloud environments. 
• Administer and maintain NetApp storage systems and enterprise file shares, ensuring availability, performance, and data integrity. 
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services. 
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and scalability of cloud resources. 

Must have requirements:

• Cloud Server Administration: Deep understanding of instance types, networking, storage, and security groups. 
• Cloud User Administration: Experience managing IAM roles, policies, and federated access. 
• Infrastructure-as-Code: Ability to write, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure-as-code templates. 
• Windows & Linux OS Administration: Strong command-line skills, scripting, and OS-level troubleshooting. 
• AWS Experience: Demonstrated success in managing AWS environments

Nice to have requirements:

• Cloud Software Deployment & Maintenance: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies in cloud environments. 
• HPC Job Troubleshooting: Understanding of high-performance computing environments, job schedulers (e.g., Slurm, PBS), and performance tuning. 
• NetApp / Fileshare Administration: Experience managing NetApp ONTAP systems, CIFS/NFS shares, snapshots, and replication. 
• CAE Application Experience: Familiarity with installation and configuration of engineering software (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus, etc.). 
• System Automation: Ability to write playbooks and automate system configuration and updates for storage management  
• Azure Experience: Experience with Microsoft Azure environment is a plus
