Billing Clerk/ Invoicing Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our team in Long Beach, California. This Contract-to-Permanent position is ideal for someone with a strong background in invoicing and billing processes, particularly in high-volume environments. The role involves working with service reports and maintaining accuracy in invoices related to maintenance and repair services.

Responsibilities:
• Generate and process a high volume of invoices weekly using internal billing software, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review service reports to verify details and ensure proper billing for maintenance and repair services.
• Handle automated and manual invoicing processes efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with the service manager and other team members to address billing discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Maintain organized records of invoices and billing statements for audit and reporting purposes.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all billing activities.
• Provide support in the preparation of billing reports and summaries for management review.
• Utilize computerized billing systems to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
• Monitor and manage billing collections to ensure timely payments.
• Adapt to industry-specific invoicing requirements, with automotive experience considered a plus.
• At least 1 year of experience in billing or invoicing roles, preferably in high-volume environments.
• Proficiency in computerized billing systems and software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to review and verify service reports accurately.
• Excellent organizational skills to manage large quantities of invoices and related documentation.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and addressing client inquiries.
• Familiarity with maintenance and repair billing processes; automotive industry experience is advantageous.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively in fast-paced settings.
• Knowledge of billing collection procedures and best practices.
