Attorney - Financial Services

We are looking for a skilled Attorney to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for a licensed legal expert with expertise in financial services compliance and consumer law. Based in Colleyville, Texas, this remote position offers the opportunity to shape legal and compliance strategies for a growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies in alignment with federal and state regulations.

• Provide expert legal advice on consumer lending and leasing practices.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, disclosures, and other legal documents.

• Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure the organization remains compliant.

• Conduct training sessions and create documentation to support internal teams on legal and compliance matters.

• Assist with civil litigation tasks, including drafting motions, briefing, and discovery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve legal issues effectively.

• Establish a solid legal foundation by creating and maintaining regulatory policies and procedures.

• Ensure all financial operations meet consumer lending laws and industry standards.

• Serve as a key resource for regulatory compliance and legal contract matters.

• Must hold a current attorney license in at least one U.S. state.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles within the financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in consumer lending regulations and practices.
• Proven ability to draft and review legal contracts and regulatory documents.
• Experience with civil litigation processes, including briefing and discovery.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
