Associate General Counsel

We are looking for an experienced Sr Corporate Counsel Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and support for our organization in Carrollton, Texas. In this role, you will collaborate closely with business units to address legal concerns, ensure compliance, and facilitate the achievement of business objectives. This position offers the opportunity to engage in diverse legal matters while contributing to the development of key corporate policies and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Offer legal counsel on a wide range of day-to-day issues and special projects to support business goals.

• Develop, review, and oversee the implementation of corporate policies and procedures.

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and other critical legal documents.

• Collaborate with the Vice President, General Counsel, and legal team to achieve strategic business objectives.

• Manage relationships with external legal counsel on corporate, employment, and other specialized matters.

• Provide training to employees on key legal topics to enhance compliance and awareness.

• Conduct legal research and offer innovative solutions to complex legal challenges.

• Ensure all contracts and agreements align with corporate goals and regulatory requirements.

• Represent the organization in communications with regulatory agencies and other stakeholders.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience practicing construction law.

• Active membership in good standing with the Texas Bar.

• Strong skills in drafting, negotiating, and analyzing contracts.

• Proven ability to interpret financial reports and legal documents -- any employment law experience will be a plus

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex strategies clearly.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic business environment.

• Experience in corporate governance, employment law, and M& A transactions.
