Applications Architect

Description

We are looking for an experienced Applications Architect to join our team in West Des Moines, Iowa. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in designing and implementing solutions for a new annuity product tied to retirement accounts. This opportunity involves integrating multiple stakeholders, including third-party providers, and ensuring seamless interaction with innovative software systems. THIS ROLE CAN BE REMOTE NATIONALLY.

Responsibilities:

Develop and define integration strategies for various stakeholders, including third-party providers, income managers, and investment managers.

Oversee the implementation of new software systems within the existing technological framework.

Collaborate with vendors by reviewing RFPs, offering feedback, and ensuring alignment with project goals.

Engage with both technical and non-technical teams to foster a collaborative working environment.

Monitor project milestones and ensure all deliverables are met within defined timelines.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, developers, and other key stakeholders.

Serve as the primary interface with two major vendors to maintain effective communication and coordination.

Ensure that the integration process aligns with cloud architecture principles and solution design standards.

Requirements

Minimum of 7 years of experience in solution architecture or a similar role.
Strong background in application development, including expertise in ASP.NET and .NET Framework.
Industry knowledge in annuities, financial services, or insurance is essential.
Proficiency in cloud platforms, with AWS preferred, and a solid understanding of cloud design principles.
Familiarity with financial tools such as Aladdin, Bloomberg Terminal, or Thomson Reuters Eikon is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in managing RFP processes and vendor relationships.
Ability to thrive in ambiguous situations and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills to navigate complex projects.
