AP/ AR Specialist

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Somerset, New Jersey. In this role, you will manage essential accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle financial transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records.

• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between accounts.

• Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial transactions and reports.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Provide support for audits by preparing necessary documentation.

• Generate and review financial reports to identify trends or anomalies.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable management.

• Proficiency in general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.

• Strong knowledge of bank reconciliation processes.

• Ability to accurately process vendor invoices and resolve discrepancies.
