Accounts Receivable Clerk

Robert Half is partnering with a valued client in the Quad Cities area to hire a part-time Accounts Receivable Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working independently and contributing to a collaborative team.

Schedule: 20–24 hours per week (flexible—can be structured as 3 full days or 5 shorter days).

Responsibilities:

• Match incoming payments (direct deposits, checks, ACH) to invoices, resolving discrepancies
• Research unidentified payments by contacting clients and investigating details
• Manage accounts receivable and perform AR research as needed
• Collaborate with the sales team to ensure rebates and discounts are accurately applied
• Review monthly QuickBooks reports to confirm purchases align with rebate requirements
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve client AR issues promptly
• Process and file invoices (both electronic and hard copy)
• Make occasional reminder collection calls to clients
• Prepare and process shipping invoices, investigating discrepancies with the logistics manager
• Maintain accurate and organized AR records

Qualifications:

• Prior accounts receivable experience with computer or Windows-based systems (QuickBooks a plus)
• Self-motivated and able to learn quickly
• Team-oriented focus, with strong communication skills
