We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions, while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Responsibilities:
• Process and verify invoices, ensuring correct coding and timely entry into financial systems.
• Perform account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Handle check runs and ensure payments are made accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain detailed records of transactions for audit and reporting purposes.
• Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and address payment issues.
• Utilize software like Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and financial management.
• Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities.
• Review and verify financial documentation to ensure compliance with company policies.
• Support month-end closing processes by providing accurate accounts payable data.
• Respond to inquiries regarding payments, invoices, and account statuses in a thorough and efficient manner.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial processing.
• Ability to perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies effectively.
• Solid organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Knowledge of coding invoices and processing payments.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Understanding of financial compliance and audit requirements.
