Robert Half is looking for a Accounting Supervisor for a local beverage distribution company in Madison, WI. This role involves guiding a team of accounting staff, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and producing accurate financial reports. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills and expertise in accounting practices to support organizational success.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.

• Manage monthly journal entries and oversee the reconciliation of accounts.

• Collaborate with the Controller and management to develop and implement financial strategies.

• Monitor cash flow and oversee treasury functions to optimize financial health.

• Conduct audits and ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulations.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to accounting staff to foster growth and development.

• Ensure timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

• Coordinate with other departments to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.

• Proficiency in accounting functions, including accounts payable and cash.

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field.

• Experience preparing financial statements and managing monthly journal entries.

• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and practices.

• Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

• Effective communication and leadership abilities to manage and support a team
