Accounting Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract-to-permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations while advancing your career. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude to support various accounting tasks effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

• Manage data entry tasks related to financial records and ensure information is up-to-date.

• Handle contract billing and verify the accuracy of invoices and payment schedules.

• Maintain records for subcontractor insurance and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Conduct account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.

• Utilize Sage 100 accounting software for financial reporting and data management.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

• Prepare reports and summaries for management review.

• Support quarterly bonus calculations and other financial incentives.

• Assist with general administrative tasks related to accounting functions.

• Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Sage 100 accounting software is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
