About the Role: The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and mentoring staff, managing the month-end close process, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor staff and senior accountants to ensure growth and effective team performance.
- Assist in managing the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion within a three-day timeline.
- Take ownership of advanced accounting matters, including inventory provisions, warranty provisions, and deferred considerations.
- Prepare precise financial statements and disclosures in accordance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate with the tax team to guarantee the timely submission of tax returns.
- Ensure robust internal controls are maintained and documentation is consistently updated.
- Facilitate and manage internal and external audits, addressing inquiries and requests promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement improvements to accounting and business processes.
- Handle ad hoc reporting and special projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA certification or an equivalent credential.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably including time with a Big 4 firm.
Required Skills:
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and advanced accounting practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to interpret complex accounting data and apply theoretical knowledge effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent communication abilities, with a demonstrated capacity for teamwork and collaboration.
Salary : $110,000 - $120,000
