Accounting Assistant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Moorestown, New Jersey. This role is ideal for Accounting Assistant with a strong background in invoice processing and general accounting tasks who are ready to contribute to a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Process invoices accurately and efficiently while adhering to company policies.

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions to ensure timely payments and collections.

• Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.

• Utilize QuickBooks to record and track financial transactions.

• Code invoices correctly to ensure proper allocation of expenses.

• Assist with resolving discrepancies in financial records and vendor communications.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes.

• Maintain organized and accessible financial documentation for audits and compliance.

• Provide general assistance to the accounting department as needed.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in processing invoices.
• Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and its applications in accounting processes.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial record maintenance.
• Ability to accurately code invoices and allocate expenses.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
